Full Port Vs. Reduced Port Gas Shut Off- Valve

Why port size matters for appliance performance.

The two valves pictured here look nearly identical from the exterior, but the interior design is significant.

Depending on the design, a partial (reduced) port gas shut off valve can add upwards of 10 feet of developed length to the overall gas calculations.

In Gas sensitive applications and appliances, a simple change to a full port valve can avoid restriction of flow, nuisance lockouts, and inefficient operation.
